Whether you call it the Eucharist, the Mass, Communion, the Lord's Supper, or by some other name, worship at St. Andrew's revolves around the altar, with the Eucharist being our principal service. All who have been baptized into the family of God, in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, from whatever denomination are welcome to participate fully in the service.
Naturally, baptized children are welcome to the altar as well, though unless we are otherwise instructed by their parent or guardian, they will receive only the bread.
We generally use the Book of Alternative Services and the Revised Common Lectionary
Most Wednesdays, beginning at 1215 in the afternoon, we celebrate a Book of Common Prayer Eucharist in St. Peter's Chapel here at the Cathedral. This quiet, reflective, "said" service using the traditional English wording is seen by many as a welcome pause in the middle of the week.
