Within the confines of the Cathedral are several memorials to the military history of the people of the parish and community.

The Vimy Ridge memorial of the 102nd North British Columbia Regiment is located in the tower entrance.  The cross atop the memorial was originally a battlefield marker on the Ridge.  The regimental colours (the green and red flag above the altar) were entrusted to the Cathedral in a special ceremony when the Regiment was disbanded in May 1937.

In addition, the pulpit and the lectern are dedicated in memory of those who were killed during the First World War.

Of this sad time, Archbishop Du Vernet's daughter wrote: "There would be three solid rows of young men sitting in the front seats.  Then came the war of 1914 and one by one they vanished."

We will remember them.
